XFL announces its 2023 season kickoff game for Feb. 18

The XFL — the third iteration of it, thanks in part to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson — is back in 2023.

You’ve seen the teams’ locations, the coaching staffs, the uniforms and the players who also were in the NFL.

Now? The schedule has dropped and we’re a month away from the XFL coming back. Again.

The season kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 18, when the Arlington Renegades host the Vegas Vipers at Choctaw Stadium (3 p.m. ET on ABC).

While we won’t break down a team-by-team schedule — you can check that out for your local squads if you like! — we can give you a summary of what you need to know about it, so here’s the important information for you to mark down in your calendar for some post-Super Bowl football:

There will 40 regular-season games played. There will be two playoff games, followed by a championship contest. The games will be shown on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, FX and ESPN+.It’ll be 10 weeks of regular-season games. The season kicks off on Feb. 18 and ends on April 23.
